On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, the U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew and Denver Deputy Mayor and Chief Financial Officer Cary Kennedy will hold a Town Hall meeting for members of Denver’s small business and non-profit communities on the importance of financial inclusion and myRA, a starter retirement savings program developed by the U.S. Treasury Department.

Denver Receives AAA Rating from Top Three Financial Rating Agencies

Denver, May 28, 2015 – The City and County of Denver has again been given a AAA rating from Standard and Poor’s (S&P), Fitch’s, and Moody’s for its long term general obligation bonds. The three ratings agencies gave Denver a AA+/Stable rating for their 2015A certificates of participation, a type of financing that allows cities to make lease payments to investors in order to finance certain capital projects.
