DHS Kicks Off Eighth-Annual Adopt-a-Student School Supply Drive

Starting the school year off on the right track and setting a course for year-long success in the classroom requires the right resources, but for many students in Denver, these resources are unaffordable and hard to come by. To help give students the tools they need to succeed, Denver Human Services (DHS) is excited to announce the 2018 Adopt-a-Student School Supply Drive. Now through July 31, staff at DHS’ GIVE Center are collecting backpacks filled with school supplies to give to hundreds of children before the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

DHS Invites Community to Donate Hygiene Items to Support the Well-being of Denver Residents

For people experiencing homelessness or anyone struggling to make ends meet, even basic hygiene items can be unaffordable. Something as ordinary as shampoo or toothpaste can make a world of difference for someone interviewing for a job or getting their kids ready for school. That’s why Denver Human Services (DHS) is collecting hygiene items through May 25 as part of their fourth annual Spring Showers Hygiene Drive.
