Pinwheels for Prevention Gardens Reflect Children’s Bright Futures

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Denver Human Services is partnering  with Prevent Child Abuse Colorado for its annual “Pinwheels for Prevention” campaign, in which, Denver Human Services and several community partners are planting pinwheel gardens to raise awareness about preventing child abuse and neglect.

Denver cold weather shelter plan in full effect for the homeless

Cooler temperatures and forecasted snow has prompted Denver’s Road Home and Denver Human Services to initiate its seasonal Cold Weather and Emergency Shelter plan. In partnership with The Delores Project, Urban Peak and Salvation Army, the Cold Weather Plan connects the homeless with a safe and warm place to stay during frigid temperatures.
