DENVER – Nov. 6, 2015 – Denver Human Services and Denver Juvenile Court are partnering for the eleventh annual National Adoption Day event on Friday, November 14 from 9 a.m. until noon. A total of 48 children will be adopted into 32 families as part of Denver’s National Adoption Day event. National Adoption Day is a day to celebrate adoptive families while raising awareness for kids still looking for permanent, loving homes.

When: Friday, November 13 from 9 a.m. - Noon Welcome Ceremony begins at 9 a.m., Adoption Hearings begin at 10 a.m.

National Adoption Day is a national effort to raise awareness about the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. The Denver Adoption Day celebration is an annual event coordinated by Denver Human Services and Denver Juvenile Court. In all, 570 adoptions have been finalized in Denver County on National Adoption Day over the past 10 years. There are 13 children in the City and County of Denver who are currently awaiting permanent families.
