The C.A.R.E. Program supports kinship families, parents, DHS staff and anyone in need of services through onsite programming, comprehensive community resources and the visitation center.

The C.A.R.E. Center offers:

  • Intakes (walk-ins)
  • Computer and resource lab
  • Resource navigation
  • Resource/Kinship Support Line (720-944-4546)
  • Assistance with basic/emergency needs (bus tickets, food certificates, medication certificates, motel/hotel vouchers, emergency/transitional housing, car seats, hygiene products, baby items, snacks, water, clothing, etc.)
  • Classes and workshops for parents/kinship providers (parenting classes/support groups, nutrition/cooking classes, CPR/First Aid, housing, financial literacy, legal issues and other topics)
  • The DHS Fatherhood Program
  • TANF navigators
  • Meeting rooms for staffing and visitation
  • Car seats, strollers and pack-n-plays (for kinship families)
