Public Trustee Stats - June 2017

While more new #foreclosure cases were filed in June than in May, foreclosures are down from 2015. Half way through 2015, there were 368 cases filed. Halfway through 2016, we've seen 336 cases. More statistics are available on our the Foreclosure Statistics page here on our website.

Foreclosures Up in Denver

While foreclosure cases dropped in much of Colorado, 4.2 percent more cases were filed in Denver in 2016 than in 2015. “With the strong real estate market, we anticipated the number of foreclosure filings to go down in 2016. Instead they went up,” said Denver Clerk and Recorder Debra Johnson. “We had 30 more cases in 2016 than in 2015.

8,024 Couples Tied the Knot in 2016

Denver is growing and so is the number of marriages in the City. A record-breaking 8,024 couples tied the knot in 2016. That’s 685 more couples than in 2015.

Denver Clerk & Recorder Receives National Award for Innovation

Denver Clerk and Recorder Debra Johnson received the Model County Award for eRecording. Denver was selected from 1,200 counties for the award for innovation.
