Digital Photography

Gain a better understanding of your camera and how to take great pictures. Discover what settings to use to maximize image quality for both indoor or outdoor and still or action photos.  Learn basic photography principles; composition (framing and perspective), lighting, focusing and posing. Whether you want to capture real family moments, pursue fine art photography or improve your images for business use, this course will set you on the right track!

Punch Embroidery

Paint a work of art with colored yarn. This punch style is popular in many countries. It's like miniature rug punching.  Starter kit is required and available to purchase for $15.

Urban Homesteading

Learn to produce and preserve your own food and practice environmental consciousness. You may cover the following subjects and participate in some activities surrounding: resource reduction (alternative energy, rainwater), raising animals or bees, gardening & composting, self-sufficient living (re-using, repairing, and recycling, homemade products), food preservation, cheese-making, fermenting, foraging, gleaning, and trading. Be prepared to transport yourself to several sites.


Parent Child Sing & Play

For children aged 6 mo. to 3. Come sing and play with a professional musician and teacher who plays the Ukulele!  Rhythm, songs, dance, music (including songs in Spanish) for children and their parent/caregivers. (One adult per child please)

 

Beginning Sewing
