Infuzionz LLC Voluntarily Recalls Marijuana Product Due to Non-Food Grade Ingredients

Denver marijuana product manufacturer Infuzionz LLC, doing business as NectarBee, is voluntarily recalling a marijuana edible product due to the presence of potentially unsafe, non-food grade essential oils.  

Information obtained during a Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) inspection indicated that two essential oils used to flavor the NectarBee Cherry Cola product were not manufactured with the intent of the ingredients being consumed. Consumption of non-food grade essential oils may pose a public health risk. 

Products subject to the recall were sold only at The Green Solution stores located in the Denver metro area, Trinidad, Fort Collins, and Silver Plume. All NectarBee Cherry Cola purchased prior to 11/30/17 is subject to the recall:

Consumers who have this recalled product should dispose of the product or return it to the store from which it was purchased. For more information about the recall, contact NectarBee at info@nectarbee.com.

There have been no reports of illness. The possible health impact of consuming the flavoring ingredients not manufactured for consumption is unknown. Consumers with concerns about their personal health should contact their physician with related questions.

DDPHE is investigating this issue and overseeing the recall process. DDPHE conducts inspections of marijuana-infused product manufacturers and retailers in Denver and investigates related complaints.
