Adopt-A-School Program

This is a great time to get your school started!

Adopt-A-School is a program of Keep Denver Beautiful that provides Denver students an opportunity to take ownership of their school campuses and keep them Litter Free!

Candy wrappers, chip bags, bottles & cans. You’ve probably seen some of this little stuff in and around your school, napping on lawns, sidewalks, and curbs. The stuff is little… but it’s litter, and Adopt-A-School members learn how easy it is to help eliminate this little litter problem.

They see it in on public and private property in their neighborhoods and around their schools. Occasionally, graffiti can even be found on and inside their school buildings. Some of the students are responsible for the graffiti we see around Denver. Through Adop-A-School, Denver students can learn about the effects of graffiti vandalism on a community as well as how they can help prevent it.

Keep Denver Beautiful provides a presentation designed especially for students about the effects of litter & graffiti. All materials are provided – making it easy to remove or report litter and graffiti. By participating in the program, students are given the tools to take ownership of their surroundings, and walk away with a feeling of empowerment that can last a lifetime. Through their efforts, they experience first-hand the difference they can make at their school and in their neighborhoods.
