DMV Registration Renewal Now as Easy as Picking up Your Phone

Vehicle owners can use Pocketgov.com to renew their registration and pay online

DENVER – The City and County of Denver’s mobile website application, pocketgov.com, has a new feature that will make renewing vehicle registration easy and convenient for the city’s more than 400,000 vehicle owners. The new feature allows vehicle owners to renew and pay for their yearly vehicle registration right from their mobile device or computer.

Pocketgov.com’s newest service is the first-ever DMV mobile option created for vehicle owners in Colorado. Denver’s Technology Services and Motor Vehicle teams partnered with the State of Colorado to create a new, mobile-friendly platform that will allow vehicle owners in Denver to walk through the renewal process and pay without leaving the city’s website.

“There’s no longer a need to wait in line for your renewals – just skip the trip and pay on pocketgov.com instead!” Mayor Michael B. Hancock said. “We’re grateful for the state’s partnership in order to pilot this exciting new technology. The new pocketgov.com feature will further reduce wait times at the DMV, which we have already cut in half.”

Denver’s online service center, pocketgov.com, also offers users the ability to:

  • Pay parking violations
  • Check wait times for business licensing, building or development services, and marriage licenses
  • Report potholes or graffiti
  • Sign up for notifications for trash and recycling pickup
  • Set up text message alerts for street sweeping reminders;
  • Explore Denver property values
  • View a map of special events
  • And so much more!

New services and features are being added to pocketgov.com each month. To use Denver’s online service center, go to pocketgov.com from the web browser of any mobile device or computer. Residents can add a shortcut to the site to their mobile devices, create a profile and sign up for customized services, or easily find city information while on the go.

To suggest new services or submit comments on the tool, users can click on the “Site Feedback” button at the bottom of any pocketgov.com page.
