2018 Minimum Wage Adjustment Underway

In November 2016, Amendment 70 was passed by the citizens of Colorado amending the state constitution to raise the minimum wage in Colorado from $8.31 to $12.00 per hour over the course of four years. In 2018, the current minimum wage will increase from $9.30 per hour to $10.20 per hour starting on January 1, 2018. Subsequent increases will be in $0.90 per hour increments each year until the minimum wage reaches $12.00 in 2020.  Please note some on-call employees from the following departments/agencies may be affected by the adjustments, which will be applied on January 1, 2018: Denver Public Library, Parks & Recreation, Department of Safety, and Arts & Venues. Please contact your department/agency HR business partners if you have questions.
