Paying online?

The City of Denver recently implemented a security enhancement to better protect our online payment processing system.  As a result of this enhancement, we are no longer able to accept payments from non-current browsers. If you are using an older browser version, please upgrade your browser to the most current version so that you can access the online payment service.

COBRA Continuation Coverage

 

COBRA is a federal law that allows benefit-enrolled employees and dependents to continue their group health coverage under the city's plan for:

  • Up to 18  months for employees, spouses and dependents when the loss of coverage is due to a termination or reduction of hours.
  • Up to 29 months for employees who are determined as disabled by Social Security at any time during the first 60 days of COBRA coverage.
  • Up to 36 months for spouses and dependents when the loss of coverage is due to an employee's death, divorce or legal separation, or other qualifying events.  
When a qualifying event occurs, employees and dependents will receive a letter informing them of their rights and enrollment options under COBRA.
