Council Committee Meetings

Denver City Council members serve on several different committees, each concerned with various areas of City government. Committees meet regularly to discuss and prepare proposed laws. Council President Mary Beth Susman is ex-officio a member of each City Council committee. She also serves on the following committees:

  • Amendment 64 (Vice-Chair)


    Meeting Times

    Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:30 P.M. in Room 391 of the City & County Building (1437 Bannock Street Denver, CO 80202).

    Areas of Responsibility and Oversight

    The committee will discuss issues related to the implementation of Amendment 64 passed by the voters in the November 2012 election regarding recreational use and retail of Marijuana.

    Meets the 4th Monday of each month at 3:30 P.M. in Room 391 of the City & County Building (1437 Bannock Street Denver, CO 80202).

    Areas of Responsibility and Oversight

    Analysis of collaborative consumption businesses. i.e. transportation network companies, home, goods, labor, food, and other forms of the emerging sharing economy. Consideration of health and safety, insurance, code restrictions, and other operating issues as they apply to these businesses. Recommendations for the appropriate legislation if and where needed.
