Apply for Rezoning

The Official Map Amendment (Rezoning) Guide comprehensively explains the process and requirements. See below for the web version of the guide.

Step 1: Pre-Application Review

Download and complete the Pre-Application Review Request Form (PDF).
Email it to the case manager assigned to your geographic area.
Upon receipt, the case manager will contact you to set up a pre-application meeting.
Applications may only be submitted after a pre-application review is complete

Step 2: Public Outreach

Discuss your potential application with Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNOs), City Council member that represent syour district and the at-large members, and any other interested parties.

Step 3: Submit and Pay Fee

Download and complete your Map Amendment - Application or for PUD zoning Map Amendment for PUD - Application
Email the application to your case manager using the contact information above right. Please retain an electronic copy of your application in case revisions are required.
Mail or drop-off in person 2 hard copies of the application and the required fee. See the Zoning Application and Review Fee Schedule
Application review will not begin until the fee has been paid
