 Denver's State of the Neighborhoods Initiative
 
CPD's State of the Neighborhoods Initiative tracks indicators of stability, change and sustainability in each Denver's neighborhoods.  Indicators tracked fall into eleven general categories that correlate to chapters in Denver's Comprehensive Plan 2000, all of which play a role in the Denver's core interest of developing and maintaining great and sustainable neighborhoods:

  • Environmental Quality and Sustainability
  • Land Use
  • Mobility
  • Parks & Preservation
  • Housing
  • Economic Activity
  • Education
  • Human Services
  • Health and Safety
  • Arts, Culture and Social Fabric
  •   
    State of the Neighborhoods was piloted in 2008 for six neighborhoods highlighted in the map below: Athmar Park, Capitol Hill, Elyria Swansea, Five Points, Northeast Park Hill and University Hills.  In 2009 CPD is striving to implement State of the Neighborhoods citywide through formalized partnerships with other City agencies and non-profit organizations.
