Announcements
Rate Changes in June and July 2012 - Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Effective June 1, 2012, the monthly rate for a Limited Basic Only Converter will increase from $1.99 to $2.50 per month and the remote control will change from $0.25 to $0.20 per month.  If you currently have equipment on a promotional price, these changes will not occur until your promotion ends.

 

Effective July 1, 2012, Comcast will charge $1.99 per month for each new Digital Adapter Additional Outlet service subscribed to on or after July 1, 2012 by customers with Digital Starter or above video package services.

 

Comcast May 15 Channel Lineup Change - Monday, April 23, 2012

Effective May 15, 2012, Comcast will make the following changes to the channel lineup in Denver:

 

BabyFirst America will be added on Channel 390

Spike TV (Ch. 59) will move from the Economy Tier to the Digital Starter tier

History2 (H2) will be added to the Economy Tier on Channel 276

Comcast April 17 Channel Lineup Change - Thursday, March 22, 2012

Effective April 17, 2012, Comcast will make the following changes to the channel lineup serving Denver:

 

Soapnet, Channel 184 will be DROPPED

Disney Jr., Channel 123 will be ADDED

 

FCC Announces 2012 Study of Residential Broadband in the U.S. - Tuesday, February 28, 2012
The Federal Communications Commission hopes to find volunteers from the general public to assist it in measuring broadband Internet speeds.  For the past year the FCC has studied broadband performance in the home, and last August it released the first “Measuring Broadband America” report to monitor how fast “high-speed Internet” really is.  The study isn’t over, and the FCC wants to engage more volunteers to get closer to representing 100% of all high-speed users.  If you have broadband Internet at home, and want to help the effort to provide accurate and detailed measurements of consumer performance on a national level, visit http://fcc.us/testisp for more information and to sign up.

Comcast Channel Lineup Changes - Tuesday, December 06, 2011

Please note that Comcast will be making the upcoming channel lineup changes:

 Effective December 22, 2011

  • Disney XD (Ch. 76) will move from Starter Cable to the Digital Preferred Package Tennis
  • Channel (Ch. 407) and Tennis Channel HD (Ch. 707) added to the Sports Entertainment Tier

 

Effective January 5, 2012

  • Turner Classic Movies (TCM, Ch. 67) will move from Starter Cable to the Digital Preferred Package

Access Television (PEG)

By Franchise Agreement  cable providers make available to the City and County of Denver channels for PEG (Public, Education, and Government) Access Television programming; 

  • Denver 8 TV is the Government access cable station and is operated by this office. Channel 58 is a City Information and Services Channel also managed here.
  • Channel 22 is the Educational Access cable television station that is operated through Denver Public Schools; and Channel 54  is operated by Higher Education from Auraria Campus.  More. . . 
  • Channels 56, 57, and 219 comprise the Public Access television lineup. These channels operate under the name Denver Open Media and are managed by contract with the non-profit organization, Deproduction.  More. . .
