New 80205 dates announced for March, April, and May

Pet overpopulation is a serious problem that lands between 5 and 7 million cats and dogs in shelters each year.  Of these, only 25% of dogs and 24% of cats are adopted.  The best way to reduce pet overpopulation is to spay/neuter pets.

Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) and the Metro Denver Shelter Alliance (MDSA) have teamed up for a project that aims to reduce pet overpopulation.  The project is a spay/neuter program for domestic and feral cats in the 80205 zip code.

The effort offers low-cost spay and neuter services from MDSA partners and free services to residents of 80205.  80205, which includes City Park and Five points, has been regarded as a problem area for feline overpopulation.
