Building Inspections
All construction must be inspected for compliance with the Denver Zoning CodeDenver Building Code and National and International Codes in the areas of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, conservation, boiler and refrigeration, fuel and gas. These inspections are handled by our Building Inspection Staff.
If your project is complete, and you need an inspection, request an inspection using our automated phone system or in person at our office.
View a list of common violations found by inspectors that will help you avoid reinspection fees.
To check on the status of an inspection, contact the Records department
48 hours after the inspection at 720-865-2790 or cpd.permitrecords@denvergov.org. You will need to provide your permit number or your street address.

Neighborhood Inspections

Zoning is designed to create safe and comfortable neighborhoods in Denver.  Our Neighborhood Inspection Services staff enforces property maintenance standards based on the Denver Zoning Code and the Denver Revised Municipal Code.
