Volunteer on Martin Luther King Day

Volunteer on Martin Luther King Day

“Not everybody can be famous, but everybody can be great, because greatness is determined by service,” Martin Luther King, Jr. is quoted as saying.  It feels great to get out there and help your neighbors make simple changes that help them and the planet greatly.  Join a group of volunteers saving people money and energy in the Clayton neighborhood with Groundwork Denver on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2014.

Volunteer teams will be going door-to-door offering free CFLs, providing information about saving energy, and signing up people for recycling, energy audits and street trees. Rain or shine, we will meet for training at 1 p.m., and work until 4:30. There will be snacks and post-project burritos. For more information or to register, please contact Dele Johnson at 303-455-5600 or Dele@GroundworkDenver.org.
