Remember your school trip to the art museum? Did your field trip to the symphony open your eyes to the world of classical music? Student field trips to visit cultural institutions and encounter the arts are an important opportunity that DOCA wants to ensure our students experience.
In partnership with Denver Public Schools, DOCA created a Cultural Field Trip Fund to help defray costs such as bus transportation and program fees that might prevent students from being able to participate in culture – from the visual arts to dance and music. Teachers can submit a simple application requesting support from the fund by contacting DPS Arts Coordinator John Epps at john.epps@dpsk12.org. DOCA is proud to help build great cultural experiences for our students.
