Volunteer Information & Requirements

2010 Doors Open Denver Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Site Volunteer during the sixth annual Doors Open Denver!

We would welcome your involvement during the event weekend of April 17-18 as a site volunteer, welcoming visitors at one of our 80+ sites. Everyone is welcome to volunteer: students, seniors, professionals, architects, historians and anyone interested in Denver. Doors Open Denver volunteers are the ambassadors for the event, for the City of Denver and for the Denver Architectural Foundation.

Thank you to Xcel Energy, sponsor of the 2010 Doors Open Denver Volunteer Program.

Doors Open Denver volunteers MUST:

  • Be familiar with the Doors Open Denver program. This information will be offered at a volunteer training session.
  • Enjoy dealing with the public and have good communication skills.
  • Have enthusiasm for the architecture and history of Denver.
  • Commit to a minimum four-hour shift at the Doors Open Denver weekend. Please be prepared to stand for long periods of time at most sites.
  • Attend a volunteer training session to be held on Saturday, April 3 (10-11AM) OR Monday, April 5 (7-8PM). More information, location and directions will be sent closer to the training sessions.
  • We promise you will have a wonderful time and you will learn about this wonderful city we share, Denver!

Once you have submitted your application, a DOD representative will contact you regarding your status, assignment and scheduling.
