Denver Parks and Recreation and the Winter Park Resort have partnered to offer inner city youth the opportunity to learn to ski and snowboard. Urban Riders is a program specifically geared for high school students attending Denver Public Schools. The club gives urban youth of Denver an opportunity to not only learn to ski or snowboard, but to progressively develop their skills and interest in snow sports, with the possibility to evolve into a life long participants and advocates of snow sports.

Ruby Hill Rail Yard is the result of a partnership between Denver Parks and Recreation, Christy Sports and Winter Park Resort: Winter Park provided the rails, terrain park design and staff; Christy Sports provided free equipment rentals to the community; and Denver Parks and Recreation provided the physical space and support for the youth programs that utilized the Rail Yard.
The Rail Yard is located off of South Platte River Drive and West Florida Avenue.
