Rental Facilities


Denver Parks & Recreation's historic buildings, mountain lodges and park pavilions are great locations for weddings, business meetings, family reunions and more. These beautiful venues are available for events of 75 to 350 people.

There are 5 event venues available for rental:

  1. Chief Hosa Lodge
  2. City Park Pavilion
  3. James Fleming Mansion
  4. Montclair Civic Building
  5. Washington Park Boathouse

Chief Hosa Lodge, James Fleming Mansion, and the Montclair Civic Building are available for reservations up to one year in advance.

The City Park Pavilion and Washington Park Boathouse are currently available for reservations through October 15, 2015.  Check back here after September 1, 2015 for detailed information on 2016 reservations for these 2 event venues.

*PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are not being taken at Central Park Pavilion for dates after August 31, 2015. 


Reservation Instructions and Requirements

**please note there is not an application form, as all reservation requests are done online or in-person only. Reservation requests must be completed at least 30 days in advance!

  1. View instructions to check availability and to complete your reservation request 
  2. Starting June 1, 2015: Submit your online reservation request 
  3. Your request will be reviewed and processed within 48 business hours
  4. If initially approved, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for making your deposit payment and requirements to obtain your final approved permit

Reservation requests will be cancelled if the deposit is not paid by deadline. Reservation is not confirmed until deposit has been paid (a confirmation will be sent via email). The deposit payment is applied to your total fees and is not a refundable charge.

-You will receive an email notification indicating your request is either:

“On Hold” = you must pay for your deposit within 24 hours of this notification. If you do not pay by deadline, your reservation will be cancelled.  If this occurs, you may re-apply.

 “Denied/Cancelled” = you have most likely asked for a date outside of the available season dates for the event venue, asked for a date less than 30 days in advance, asked for a date on which an event is already scheduled (we only schedule one event per date per venue), or you have failed to pay your fees according the payment schedule below.


Schedule beginning June 1, 2015
For all reservation requests made
on or after June 1, the payment schedule and cancellation policies are as follows:

  • Within 24 hours of receiving confirmation of your reservation, $210 -OR- 50% of fee if total fee is less than $210, is due and is nonrefundable. Payment can be made online or in person at the Parks Permit Office*. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, checks, cashier checks, money orders, and cash. Checks must be payable to “Manager of Finance”. You will receive payment instructions via email.
  • 90 days before the event, 50% of total fee is due and is nonrefundable (events booked less than 90 days in advance will pay 50% of total fee within 24 hours of receiving confirmation of your reservation and it is nonrefundable)
  • 21 days before the event, the remaining balance is due and is nonrefundable

The following requirements must be met no later than 21 calendar days prior to event:

  1. All fees paid in full
  2. Permit holder must complete a walk-through with an Event Facilitator**
  3. Permit holder must provide insurance coverage. 
  4. If serving alcohol (anything other than 3.2% beer): A licensed bartender who is not a guest of the event is required for the service of any alcohol. Either the permit holder or the bartender must carry the required insurance

You will receive your approved permit by email no later than 14 business days before your event if all requirements are met by deadline. 

*The Parks Permit Office is located on the first floor of the Webb Municipal Building- 201 W. Colfax Ave.
