City Takes Additional Steps to Become More Multi-Modal
Denver Public Works Traffic Engineering Services (TES) is retiming the traffic signals in Downtown Denver to accommodate the city’s multi-modal needs. Denver is a bicycle, pedestrian and mass transit friendly city, and it’s important to balance the demands of each travel mode. The traffic signal retiming will occur on May 14th in the downtown area. Two hundred and thirty-five traffic signals will be retimed to accommodate four car light rail trains, as well as pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular movement.
