- Lights On Afterschool
A national day set aside every October to recognize and celebrate the importance of afterschool and summer programs to youth, families and communities. This day offers afterschool programs an opportunity to build relationships and contribute to a strong, unified message about the importance of afterschool in Denver.
- Youth One Book, One Denver
Sponsored by Denver Arts and Venues, the Office of Children’s Affairs and the Denver Quality Afterschool Connection as an opportunity to encourage kids to immerse their minds and imaginations through reading to support literacy and help mitigate summer learning loss. Designed for youth ages 9-12 years old, throughout the summer, participating summer programs provide a variety of engaging activities and field trips connected to themes from the book selected by youth.

- Summer Learning Day
A national advocacy day to spread awareness about the importance of summer learning for our nation’s youth in helping close the achievement gap and support healthy development in communities across the country.
