 Online Campaign Workshop Minimize
This workshop provides an overview of topics relating to starting and running a campaign. Though not comprehensive, the workshop provides a few basic resources to help get a campaign started.

Getting Started
The administering of Colorado elections is based on state law and local ordinance. For an effective campaign, familiarize yourself with state statutes and local ordinances pertaining to elections and campaigns. The Elections Division does not provide an exhaustive listing of applicable law. Candidate and issue categories and the sections of the law that apply to each can vary. It is the responsibility of the candidate or issue committee to determine which laws are relevant for the particular situation.

The Colorado Secretary of State Elections Center offers a wealth of information useful to campaigns. We provided a few useful links below as a convenience.

Denver Elective Offices
Please read carefully through the Denver Municipal Code, Chapter 15, for provisions concerning the conduct of elections and campaign finance. Look read the City Charter, Subtitle B, for provisions on the elective offices in the City and County of Denver (mayor, council, auditor, and clerk and recorder).
