How do I register for a training class?
To register for a training class offered through Career Service, you may either register by e-mail at
training@denvergov.org or by calling our registration hotline at 720-913-5628. You may also contact any member of the CSA Training & O.D. staff by phone or email for assistance with class registration.
How much does training cost?
- Required Classes: No Charge
- Computer Training: $50
- Crucial Conversations: $300
- Supervisor/Employee Training (Non-required classes): $10 to $25, based on specific class
What classes are required for new employees?
There are three classes required under CSA Rule 6 for new employees. They are: New Employee Orientation (NEO), Ethics and Public Accountability and Preventing Harassment, Workplace Violence and Bullying. Please check the training schedule for future dates.
What classes are required for new supervisors?
There are three classes required under CSA Rule 6 for new supervisors. They are: Understanding CSA Rules, Sexual Harassment and Employment Law, PEP Workshop, and Effective Counseling and Discipline.
How much time do I have to complete the required classes?
You must complete the courses during the first six months of employment. Failure to complete the courses will result in your probation being extended until the courses are completed (usually in three month increments).
Is there other training for supervisors?
Our agency has special training needs. Can we contact the CSA Training staff for assistance?
Yes. We work with all agencies to assess your needs and develop a training program to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity.
