In addition to standard curriculum [insert training schedule link], CSA Training has launched a Management Enhancement Program.
The Management Enhancement Program (MEP) is a ten module, 40-hour program designed to meet the professional development needs of “managers of managers” (typically classified as Manager 1 and Manager 2) in the City’s public service, with a focus on the knowledge and practical experience necessary to effectively lead people and manage processes and outcomes. The program emphasizes a philosophy, guidelines and principles to the consistent, Citywide practice of management in the City and County of Denver, and how a shared management approach benefits the City as a whole.
The intent of MEP is to provide second- and third-level managers with the information, tools and resources to support first-level supervisors in meeting the following objectives:
- Developing and coaching employees
- Managing performance
- Delegating work and holding employees accountable
- Using resources and tools to achieve identified outcomes
TOD can assist departments to create comprehensive training plans to develop employees and support succession planning efforts.
