Defensive Driving Training Objectives
Motor vehicle accidents are the number one cause of occupational fatalities in the United States, and it is estimated that over 100,000 workers are seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents each year.
Defensive Driving Training
Defensive Driving training is offered to all City employees who drive for city business. Executive Order No. 3 Defensive Driving training is requires all employees who operate City owned vehicles or personal vehicles, for city business, to attend two (2) hours Defensive Driving training. The multi-media instructor led training provides the responsibilities and expectations the City has of you as a driver.
- Identify common causes and consequences of Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Review basic Principles of Defensive Driving
- Apply basic Defensive Driving Skills
- Actions to take if you are involved in an accident
All classes to be held in the Clerk and Recorder's Board room on the first floor of the Webb Bldg., Room 1.B.6. Please arrive on time and no food or drink is allowed in the training room. Please allow plenty of time for parking.
