To celebrate National Welcoming Week,  Mayor Michael B. Hancock signed a proclamation declaring September 24th, 2014 "Welcoming Denver Day". To further demonstrate Denver's commitment to a welcoming spirit, the proclamation was translated in English, Spanish, Somali, Arabic and Vietnamese. OneColorado released its new report, "Transparent: The State of Transgender Health in Colorado." This report, the first of its kind on the health concerns of transgender people at the state level, highlights the unique barriers that transgender Coloradans face in getting the health care they need.
