Run • Rejoice • Remember: Denver Veterans Day Celebration 2013

This Veterans Day honor those who have served in the armed services at the Denver Veterans Day celebration on Saturday, November 9 in downtown Denver. The celebration is being presented by United Launch Alliance and several partners.

  • Denver Veterans Day 5K Race, Auraria Campus, 8 a.m. (Register now!)
    The DVD5K is a memorial race that will begin on Denver's scenic Auraria Campus and continue into downtown.This fun Run & Walk benefits the Cadet Community Leadership Association, and the Russell B. Rippetoe Foundation.

  • Denver Veterans Day Parade, begins near Civic Center Park and ends in front of the State Capitol, 10 a.m. (Parade Route Map)
    The parade will feature military units, vintage cars, marching bands, floats and much more! A great event the whole family can enjoy!

  • Denver Honor Roll Reading, Colorado Tribute Veterans Monument (between Broadway & Lincoln and Colfax and 14th), 11:30 a.m.
    Join us to pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The Honor Roll Reading will pay tribute to Colorado’s Fallen War Heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • Denver Veterans Day Celebration, Auraria Campus, 12:30 - 6 p.m.
    This celebration features free music, food trucks, a kids bouncy castle, a presentation of colors and fireworks display!

Veteran Services

The Denver County Veteran Services Office provides services to veterans who are residents of the City and County of Denver.
  • We assist veterans with their applications for VA benefits.
  • We provide emergency assistance to qualified veterans in their time of need.
  • We guide veterans to additional support services and resources.
