More than 1,800 homeless individuals and families in need crowded into the Colorado Convention Center for Project Homeless Connect (PHC) 12, making this the largest attendee turnout ever at a PHC event in Denver.

Over 100 community leaders representing religious congregations, nonprofit organizations, and other community groups gathered at the African-American Community Summit on Child Welfare in Denver on Saturday, September 22nd at Emmanuel Christian Center to address why African-American children are 3.75 time more likely to be involved in child welfare than their Caucasian counterparts, and more importantly, what to do to change that disparity.

More than 60 community partners will offer free services to those in need from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Colorado Convention Center, as part of Project Homeless Connect (PHC) 12. PHC is a resource fair for families and people of all ages who are homeless or are at risk of losing their home. Individuals seeking assistance can find the help they need in one location, rather than having to go from place to place to get back on their feet.
