In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Denver Human Services will host free Love and Logic Parenting seminars throughout April to provide simple solutions and techniques to help parents with children of any age. The parenting seminars are part of a variety of monthly activities throughout the Denver community to strengthen families.

Denver Human Services is seeking nominations from community members who have inspired and made a positive impact in children’s lives for the “Be the One Colorado Contest” in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention month, Mayor Michael B. Hancock renamed Bannock St. between Colfax Ave. and 14th Ave. to “Be the One Boulevard” for the month of April. The unveiling marks the city’s commitment to joining organizations around the state for the “Be The One Colorado” campaign, which encourages people in the community to Be the One person who is important in a child’s life.
