Denver Safe Routes to School Coalition

On March 27, 2007, Denver City Council signed Proclamation 15 to establish the Denver Safe Routes to School Coalition with the charge to develop a Denver Safe Routes to School (DSRTS) Action Plan. Our first meeting was held on October 24, 2007, in which representatives from over 40 organizations signed up to help establish an action plan for a sustainable Safe Routes to School program. The mission of DSRTS Coalition is to ensure that all children can walk and bike to school safely in Denver.
The action plan was completed on November 19, 2008 and was named the Denver Safe Routes to School Strategic Plan. Click here to download.

Currently, the Denver SRTS Coalition meets on a quarterly basis to discuss projects and initiatives. More information about current projects can be found on our resources page.
