DENVERMayor John Hickenlooper’s World Series wager with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will be paid in full tomorrow, when products generously donated by Colorado companies will be served at Boston homeless shelters as part of the Boston Mayor’s Office Boston Helps the Homeless event.

One hundred Chipotle burritos will be served at the Woods Mullen Shelter in Boston; Sojourner House in Roxbury will receive 100 servings of Great Western’s Mi Ranchito Tortilla Chips, 100 servings of Epic Valley Salsa and 100 scoops of Liks Rocky Road ice cream; and 100 hundred Quiznos sandwiches and 100 cups of Celestial Seasonings teas are going to St. Francis House in downtown Boston.

“The Colorado Rockies post-season run brought unprecedented baseball energy and excitement to the Mile High City this fall,” said Hickenlooper. “Next year, we’re hoping for a title. This year, we’re grateful that some of our Colorado companies will receive exposure in the Boston area for their generosity. We wish Mayor Menino and Boston the best on their Boston Helps the Homeless event as Denver simultaneously hosts Under One Roof, Denver Help the Homeless Summit.”

The Under One Roof, Denver Help the Homeless Summit has brought together a prestigious group of mayors, county executives and leaders of major foundations. The event is hosted by the Fannie Mae Foundation, which is also a sponsor of Boston’s events.

Had the Rockies won the World Series, Boston would have sent 100 cups of Legal Seafood Clam Chowder, 100 cups of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, 100 Boston Crème donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts and 100 Curse Reversed ice cream sandwiches from Brigham’s Ice Cream for Mayor Hickenlooper to serve at a charity of his choice.

Note to assignment desks and photo desks: For photo opportunities of the Colorado products being served in Boston, please contact the Press Office of Boston Mayor Menino, 617-635-4461 or your Boston affiliates.
