DENVER — Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2012 — Adams County, Aurora, Commerce City and Denver met today in productive discussions on how to move forward as a region that will honor the spirit and intent of the 1988 IGA.
Below is a joint statement from the regional partners:
"Adams County, Aurora, Commerce City, and Denver took a step forward today on pursuing regional economic opportunities surrounding Denver International Airport. In the spirit of the IGA, we agreed to advance strategies that will position DIA and the entire region to compete on a global stage and generate jobs that will benefit generations to come. Only together will our region win. Future discussions will focus on issues that uplift us all."
The New Airport Consultation Committee, which is not a decision-making body, will hold their next meeting at 8 a.m. on March 15 at DIA. The next Airport Coordinating Committee meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Adams County Government Center . These meetings will be open.
