DENVER – Mayor Michael B. Hancock will travel to Israel this week with JEWISHcolorado (formerly the Allied Jewish Federation) and a delegation of civic and community leaders to strengthen Denver’s global connectivity and open the city’s doors to new international economic opportunity.
The JEWISHcolorado delegation will meet with the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles and the mayors of Tel Aviv, Ramat HaNegev and Karmiel, which is a Sister City of the City and County of Denver. The delegation will focus on learning about innovative practices in the areas of education, immigration, human services and community building. It will also work to establish economic development ties in these cities.
No taxpayer dollars will be used for this trip.
