Mayor Hickenlooper directs City agencies to close at noon today, due to safety considerations resulting from blizzard

 

City offices to reopen by 10 a.m. tomorrow

 

Due to forecasts for continuing blizzard conditions and resulting safety consideration, Mayor John Hickelooper has directed all City Agencies to close non-emegency operations at noon today, December 20, 2006.

 

All City operations will reopen fully by 10 AM Thursday, December 21, 2006, pending further advisements as warranted.

 

Employees involved in emergency operations, including, but not limited to the City's snow response, travel operations and public safety have been asked to remain on duty.

 

" While essential City employees will continue working today to ensure that the City's snow response, travel operations and other operation run as smoothly as possible, we are sending all non-essential staff home today out of consideration for their safety," Mayor Hickenlooper said. " we are extremely grateful to those employees who must remain on duty today to help us manage our snow response and other essential services."
