|Denver City Government closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25
DENVER – Most City and County of Denver offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition, all City and County of Denver offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 25 due to a previously announced, budget-required furlough day for City employees.
Friday is the fifth of five planned furlough days for 2011. The furlough days were suggested by many employees as a way to save money during a time of historic revenue decline. Each furlough day saves approximately $1 million for the general fund.
