Comcast Limited Basic Customers Will Need Digital Adapters for TV Service

On October 15, 2013, Comcast will start encrypting Limited Basic Service on the Denver cable system.  If you currently have a set-top box, Digital Transport Adapter (DTA) or a retail CableCARD device connected to each of your TVs, you will not be affected by this change. However, if you are currently receiving Limited Basic channels on any TV without equipment supplied by Comcast, you will lose the ability to view any channels on that TV.

If you are affected, you must contact Comcast to arrange for the equipment you need to continue receiving your services. You are entitled to receive equipment at no additional charge or service fee for a limited period of time. To qualify for the free equipment, you must request the equipment between August 16, 2013 and February 12, 2014 by calling 1-855-860-8989 or by visiting www.comcast.com/digitaladapterinfo.
