The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) is dedicated to advancing economic prosperity for the City of Denver, its businesses, neighborhoods and residents. Working with a wide variety of community partners, OED operates to create a local environment that stimulates balanced growth through job creation, business assistance, housing options, neighborhood redevelopment and the development of a skilled workforce.
 
OED offers a diverse set of programs and services to assist new and expanding businesses in Denver. From small business financing to regulatory assistance, employee recruitment, Enterprise Tax Zone Credit assistance and a myriad of other services, OED serves as a resource to help businesses thrive within the City and County of Denver. The Office helps promote small and disadvantaged businesses by providing access to contracting opportunities within Denver. The Office offers compliance assistance with city contracts, small business and disadvantaged business ownership certification, and compliance assistance for businesses located at Denver International Airport.
 
OED facilitates the development of viable urban neighborhoods by providing quality affordable housing, an enhanced living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. The Office offers finance assistance for residential housing, technical assistance for neighborhood revitalization, asset management and compliance assistance, and finance assistance for developers. 
 
Through its operation of the Denver Workforce Centers, OED offers a full-service employment and training agency that meets the recruiting and training needs of businesses, job seekers and youth throughout the metro area. Workforce development  staff connect employers with a trained and ready workforce, while assisting job seekers with gaining needed skills and securing sustainable employment.
