OED, in partnership with the Department of Finance, the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative (NDCC), and other National Western Center (NWC) stakeholders, is seeking proposals to perform a comprehensive study regarding the NWC, which will include an economic and market opportunity analysis of the greater NWC area; options for NWC governance, operations and partnerships; and public/private finance partnerships and tools.

Notice of Funding Availability for 2016 (NOFA)

OED has announced its issuance of a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for neighborhood public service programs and housing service programs to be funded in 2016. OED is soliciting proposals from organizations that provide services to Denver residents in the following program areas:

Neighborhood Public Service Programs
Housing Support Services - Housing Counseling
Down Payment Assistance
Tenant/Landlord Rights and Related Housing Information and Referral Services
Rental Housing Access Modification Program
Emergency Home Repair
Tenant Based Rental Assistance
Single Family Rehabilitation Program
Community Housing Development Organizations
Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS

Programs must be ready to implement in the first quarter of 2016. Selected projects and activities are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program.

A question and answer session for applicants was held Thursday, July 16, 2015, 3:30-5 p.m., at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., Rm. 4F6.

The deadline to submit funding applications is Friday, August 7, 2015, at 4 p.m.

Neighborhood Improvement and Development

OED has announced its launch of an online application form for Neighborhood Development projects seeking funding. OED is soliciting applications from organizations in the following program areas:

Neighborhood Improvement Projects
Public Facility & Improvement Projects
Brownfield Environmental Clean-Up Projects

Programs must be ready to implement shortly after funds are awarded. Selected projects and activities are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. 

The application will be available throughout the year; funding will be awarded to projects dependent upon funding availability.

Applications can be submitted throughout the year for gap financing provided through the Neighborhood Business Revitalization and the Revolving Loan Fund programs. More information here.


Workforce Development
OED typically issues an annual RFP for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Services in late February. The RFP is only available for download through the City's Purchasing website.
