Denver solicits proposals for housing, neighborhood and business projects

2011 notice of funding availability cycle begins July 8

The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) announces its issuance of three Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) this month for projects to be funded in 2011. OED is soliciting proposals for housing development, housing services, neighborhood development, neighborhood services, and economic/business development and services.

OED is seeking exceptional projects and related services that make a positive impact on neighborhoods in a noticeable way. The NOFA makes available public funds that could be used by non-profit and for-profit providers to facilitate the development of viable urban neighborhoods by providing quality affordable housing, an enhanced living environment and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. Programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs.

Three separate NOFAs will be issued according to the following schedule:

Housing Development and Housing Services July 20, 2010 August 20, 2010

Each NOFA will be available at www.milehigh.com by 5 p.m. on the release date and are due by 4 p.m. on the due date.
