In celebration of National Workforce Development Month, Denver Workforce Centers to highlight job search resources and tips.
To further educate the community about job search services and techniques available through the public workforce system, the Denver Workforce Centers will offer a Job Seeker Resource Fair, on September 26. Held in conjunction with Workforce Development Month, the event will also feature job search tips sessions with human resources experts from local companies, including Connecting People, Jobing.com, Pretty Good Consulting and Kathleen Yeager Consulting.
The Job Seeker Resource Fair will be offered from 8:30 to 11 a.m., and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the following locations:
· Denver Workforce Center at Speer, 1391 N. Speer Blvd., Suite 500
· Denver Workforce Center at Montbello, 4685 Peoria St., Suite 241
· Denver Workforce Center at Westside, 1200 Federal Blvd.
“In today’s job market, there’s always room for individuals to improve their approaches to conducting a successful job search,” said Ledy Garcia-Eckstein, acting director of Workforce Development for the Denver Office of Economic Development. “We’re looking forward to introducing individuals to Workforce Center services and offering helpful tips and winning strategies for getting hired.”
Offered through the Denver Office of Economic Development, the Denver Workforce Centers serve as a full-service employment and training agency that meets the recruiting and training needs of businesses, job seekers and youth throughout the metro area. Services include job search assistance, access to job listings, resume and cover letter assistance, computer training, employment certification, career assessments, training subsidies and occupational skills training for eligible residents.
