The Denver Office of Economic Development is holding a public meeting to discuss its upcoming application process for community economic development funding. The meeting will take place July 27, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the District Three Police Station, community room, 1625 S. University Blvd.
OED intends to issue a 2013 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) later this summer to solicit proposals for housing development, housing services, neighborhood development, neighborhood services, and economic/business development and services. The meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the 2013 NOFA process, as well as the requirements and eligibility for the programs offered.
The NOFA makes available public funds that could be used by non-profit and for-profit providers to facilitate the development of viable urban neighborhoods by providing quality affordable housing, an enhanced living environment and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. Programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant, Home Investment Partnerships and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs.
