Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s second annual “Denver Days” neighborhood/community celebration is adding a new element this year: a job fair to help local employers and job-seekers connect.
Denver Workforce Development, which is a division of the Office of Economic Development (OED), is organizing the job fair to be held on Saturday, August 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center, 3334 Holly St. The first 30 minutes of the job fair is reserved for veterans only, with all job-seekers welcome beginning at 9:30, and lunch will be served after the job fair concludes at noon. A Park Hill community celebration will follow.
“The Denver Days job fair reinforces the outstanding efforts our workforce centers are making every day to help job seekers find gainful employment,” said Mayor Hancock. “We look forward to introducing residents to prospective employers and building stronger economies for households throughout the community.”
Employers interested in participating in the job fair should contact Al O’Hara at 720-865-5596 or al.o’firstname.lastname@example.org. Veteran job-seekers may register at www.denverdaysvets.eventbrite.com and the general public can register at www.denverdayspublic.eventbrite.com.
