2011 notice of funding availability cycle begins July 8

The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) announces its issuance of three Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) this month for projects to be funded in 2011. OED is soliciting proposals for housing development, housing services, neighborhood development, neighborhood services, and economic/business development and services.

Denver City Councilmember Peggy Lehmann and representatives from the Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) will participate in a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the opening of SarahCare Adult Day Center at 8000 E. Quincy Ave. This event will mark the first Federal Stimulus business development loan to be completed by OED.

The City and County of Denver is teaming up with the Financial Planning Association of Colorado to offer a free day of financial planning, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mi Casa Resource Center, 360 Acoma St.

The City and County of Denver is offering a free workshop offering guidance on obtaining community economic development funding, June 15, 1 to 3 p.m., at the District Two Police Station, community room, 3921 Holly St. The workshop is hosted by the Denver Office of Economic Development and the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships.
