The Denver Office of Economic Development today announced a one-year sponsorship of two leading business groups that are helping to nurture entrepreneurs and start-ups in Colorado’s burgeoning cleantech industry.

Information session to address housing, neighborhood and economic development funding opportunities for 2011

The Denver Office of Economic Development will hold a public meeting to discuss its 2011 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) May 6, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the District Two Police Station, community room, 3921 Holly St. in Denver.

The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) announces the availability of wage subsidy funding for Metro Denver businesses to hire new employees. The program is made available through the City’s allocation of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act workforce development funding. The program offers up to 100 percent of a new hire’s wages to be subsidized for a period of up to six months.

The United States Conference of Mayors’ DollarWI$E campaign has awarded its annual Innovation Grants for financial literacy to the cities of Denver, Colorado and Providence, Rhode Island. The awards were presented to the mayors of the winning cities today, during the 78th Winter Meeting of The U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C.
