Program Aims to Increase the Number of Women, Minorities Within Real Estate Development

The Denver Office of Economic Development and the Urban Land Institute, Colorado District Council, announce the inaugural class of participants for the Real Estate Diversity Initiative. A group of 42 individuals have been partnered with ULI mentors – local developers – for nine months to learn firsthand what development entails. The program is designed to increase awareness of opportunities in the real estate industry among women and minority groups.

“The Skills Clinic” to Offer Resume Critiques, Job Search Workshops

To further educate the community about job search services and techniques available through the public workforce system, the Denver Workforce Centers will offer “The Skills Clinic,” a job search skill-building resource fair, on May 22, from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The clinic will be held at the Community College of Denver, South Classroom, 1111 W. Colfax Ave., and at the Colorado Community College System Lowry Campus, Lowry Conference Center, located at 1061 Akron Way.
