Education

AIMS Community College
Community college located in Greeley that offers Associate Degrees and certificates in a number of health care careers.

Arapahoe Community College
Community college system with locations in Littleton, Parker, Castle Rock and online that offers Associate Degrees and certificates in a number of health care careers.

Cannon Healthcare Education
Cannon Health Care offers a unique approach to education and training in Colorado for health care professionals. Our comprehensive programs offer a combination of online, classroom and hands-on training. From Cannon’s perspective, online-only courses are not enough to help a healthcare professional to learn current clinical skills and techniques at the high level offered by a top-notch educational program and health care facility.

Concorde Career College

Denver School of Nursing
Denver School of Nursing is a private institution of higher education dedicated exclusively to educating students for the diverse opportunities offered by careers in nursing and other medical fields. 

Emily Griffith Technical College
Emily Griffith Technical College offers an extensive curriculum including more than 50 certificate programs and 500 courses. It has established a reputation for being one of the region's most diverse learning environments, having assisted more than 1.6 million students since its inception.

Front Range Community College
A community college system with locations in Boulder, Brighton, Westminster, Ft. Collins and online offering Associates Degrees and certificates in a number of health care careers.

Metropolitan State University of Denver
Metropolitan State University of Denver is a comprehensive public university offering bachelor's and master's degrees on the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver.

Pima Medical Institute
Small private institution offering certificate programs in a range of medical professions.

Red Rocks Community College
Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Lakewood, Red Rocks Community College offers more than 150 programs and 650 courses leading to two-year degrees or professional certificates. Red Rocks has campuses in Lakewood and Arvada. Courses are delivered in formats from traditional classroom to online, with options of self-paced and weekend classes.

University of Colorado-Denver
CU Denver offers more than 130 programs in 13 schools and colleges at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and first professional (health) levels.

University of Denver
The oldest and largest private university in the Rocky Mountain region, DU offers innovative and rigorous undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.

Industry Associations

Colorado Federation of Nursing Organizations
The CFNO is a coalition of more than 30 state, regional and local organizations who share professional interests in health care delivery in Colorado.  Member organizations are groups who are predominantly nurses or student nurses.  The purposes of CFNO are to provide a forum for discussion among state, regional, and local nursing organizations and the public of Colorado regarding questions of professional or state health policy and/or initiatives which are of mutual concern; to act as a mechanism to share information and seek input from all sectors of organized nursing; and to promote concerted action by these organizations on professional or health policy issues.

Colorado Healthcare Association for Human Resource Management
The mission of CHAHRM is to support the continuing development of effective human resource professionals in healthcare, promote excellence in performance of all aspects of human resource administration and management, and promote sharing of expertise among members.

Colorado Hospital Association 
The CHA is the leading voice of the state’s hospital community. Representing 95 hospitals and health systems throughout Colorado, CHA serves as a trusted, credible resource on health issues, hospital data and trends for the media, policymakers and the general public. Through CHA, Colorado’s hospitals work together in their shared commitment to improving health care in Colorado.

Colorado Nurses Association
The Colorado Nurses Association is the professional association representing Colorado’s registered nurses.  CNA provides direction to and a voice for the nursing profession in the healthcare environment and the community.  CNA advances the nursing profession by addressing nursing practice, public policy, education and workplace issues.

Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders
This organization’s mission is to advance the development of effective nursing leadership in health care organizations.

Colorado Society of Clinical Specialists in Psychiatric Nursing
The CSCSPN was formed in 1978 in order to advance the recognition of Clinical Specialists in Psychiatric Nursing. The organization is committed to quality mental health service which promotes the individual's potential while preserving human dignity, autonomy, and worth.

Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters
This is a professional organization of producers (agents and insurance company representatives) who care about their mutual clients to stay informed and to make a difference.

Denver Area Health Care Recruiters Association
The purpose of DAHCRA is to achieve positive communication among Colorado's healthcare institutions by sharing new ideas, fostering innovative solutions and facilitating recruitment and retention. The organization also serves as a source of continuing education to keep healthcare recruiting professionals abreast of current issues and trends in the ever-changing healthcare environment.

Denver Medical Society
As a professional organization for physicians, the Denver Medical Society supports and promotes the science and art of medicine; strives to maintain and improve the health of the people of Denver; advances the common ethical, societal, legislative and economic concerns of the medical profession; and provides a common voice for the medical profession.

Denver Metro Healthcare Partnership
This organization promotes regional collaboration between and among government and healthcare partners to identify public/private partnership opportunities to meet healthcare workforce needs. 

National Association of Hispanic Nurses - Colorado Chapter
The mission of this organization is to promote Hispanic nurses to improve the health of our communities, to advocate for culturally competent quality healthcare for all Hispanics, and to implement change to make available to Hispanics and other minorities the quality of health care commensurate with that of the larger society.
